Hoc ex doctrina Platonis (inquit de la Cerda) uti credi potest, qui in Minoe, potestatem Minois ac Rhadamanthi ita discriminat: Rhadamanthus quidem vir bonus exsistitit, a Minoe siquidem instructus erat: nec tamen regiam disciplinam omnem, sed regitantum ministrare in iudiciis didicit. Quin, l. 1. de legg. maiore adhuc dignitate illum afficit, facit enim illum dicentem, et distribuentem Ius διανέμειν τὰ περὶ τὰς δίκας ὀρθῶς. Est autem longe aliud iudicare, ac ius dicere. Pindarus Od. 2. Olymp. Rhadamanthum vocat Saturni πάρεδρον sive assessorem: et Od. 2. Pyth. ait, illum non delectari ἀπάταιςιν dolis. Plato, l. 1. de Legg. δικαιότατον vocat, Aristides in 2. Platonicâ, dat ei ἐυςέβειαν καὶ δικαιοςύνην. Idem laudans Antoninum Philosophum: τίς γὰρ Ρ῾αδάμανθος, ἤ τις Λἴακος οὕτω δίκαιον ἑαυτὸν πρὸς ἅπαντα δικαςτὴν, διεφύλαξε; Demosthenes in ἐρωτικῷ, alt Aeacum et Rhadamanthum amatos a Diis διὰ σωφροςύνην, non minus quim propter fortitudinem Herculem, Castorem, Pollucem, propter pulchritudinem Ganymedem et Adonin. Unde Theognis, in Gnomis:
